Studio Policies

Thank you for taking the time to review my policies. These guidelines are in place to ensure we have a smooth, respectful, and safe experience — from your first inquiry to the day your tattoo is fully healed. Please read through everything before booking. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out.

Studio Location

I currently tattoo out of Don Vano by the Verrazzano, located at:
7813 3rd Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11209

In late 2025, I’ll be relocating to West Palm Beach, Florida. My new studio location will be announced once confirmed.

Appointments and Availability

I work by appointment only. Because each project is custom-designed and thoughtfully prepared, I do not offer walk-ins.

My books are always open, but I am typically booked about two months in advance. This allows me time to fully develop your design and create something truly intentional for you. Consultations are generally available much sooner and are the best way to get the process started.

Consultations

A consultation is required for most tattoos. These are scheduled through my booking portal and can be done either in person or via Zoom.

During your consultation, we’ll go over the concept, placement, style, and any personal meaning behind your tattoo. You’ll be asked to fill out a short form when booking, which includes questions about size, body placement, design preferences, and image references. The more detail you provide, the more clearly I can see your vision and begin bringing it to life.

If your tattoo is extremely simple (such as minimal linework or lettering with a provided font), feel free to email me instead of booking a consult.

Deposits and Cancellations

A nonrefundable, nontransferable deposit is required to secure your appointment. This amount typically ranges from $100–$250, depending on the scope of the project. Larger or travel-based tattoos may require a higher deposit.

  • Your deposit will be applied to your final tattoo cost (or your final session if it’s a multi-session piece).

  • You are allowed one reschedule with at least 48 hours’ notice.

  • Deposits are forfeited if you:

    • Cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice

    • No-show your appointment

    • Arrive more than 30 minutes late

    • Attempt to significantly change the subject or scope of the tattoo on the day of your appointment

If something urgent comes up, please communicate with me. Life happens, and I do my best to be flexible when there’s open and respectful communication.

Design Process

All of my designs are custom and created after our consultation. I do not send out designs prior to your appointment, but we will review the artwork together at the beginning of your session.

You’ll have the opportunity to request small edits or adjustments at that time. Major changes — such as a complete shift in subject matter — cannot be accommodated the same day and will require rescheduling with a new deposit.

I do not replicate other artists’ tattoos. Reference images are always welcome to help guide the vibe or style, but every tattoo I create is a unique piece of art just for you.

Time Estimates for Larger Work

The number of sessions required depends on your skin, the complexity of the design, and how well your body responds to the tattooing process. Here are general guidelines for large-scale pieces:

  • Full sleeve: 4-6 full-day sessions

  • Half sleeve: 2–3 sessions

  • Full thigh: 2–3 sessions

  • Full forearm: 1–2 sessions

One session refers to a full day’s worth of work, 6-7 hours. If comfort or budget are a concern, we can divide longer sessions into shorter ones upon request. We’ll discuss your specific timeline during the consultation.

Touch-Ups

Touch-ups are complimentary within 6 months of your appointment, provided that aftercare was properly followed.

After 6 months, touch-ups will be billed at my current hourly rate.

If you cancel or no-show your touch-up appointment, that session will count as your free touch-up. A new appointment will require payment at the regular rate.

Healing and Aftercare

After your session, you’ll receive an aftercare kit with written instructions and a healing product to get you started. I’ll also walk you through the aftercare process in person and answer any questions you may have.

  • Surface healing takes about two weeks.

  • Internal healing can take up to six months.

During the healing period, avoid swimming, tanning, heavy workouts, and saunas. Keep your tattoo clean, moisturized, and protected from direct sun. Once healed, regular sunscreen will help your tattoo age gracefully and maintain its detail.

If anything feels off or you’re unsure about your healing process, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m here to support you through it.

Studio Hygiene

Your safety is a top priority. I maintain a clean and professional studio environment that adheres to strict hygiene and health standards.

  • All needles, ink caps, razors, and related materials are single-use and disposable.

  • Work surfaces are fully sanitized before and after each session.

  • I use medical-grade barrier protection and wear gloves at all times during the tattoo process.

  • Every item used during your appointment is opened fresh and discarded immediately after.

You can feel confident knowing that every precaution is taken to protect your health and ensure a safe, clean experience.
